Grifball

A game created by Burnie Burns, the creator of Red vs Blue. It is a game, played on Halo 3 Foundry, where there is a bomb in the middle of the playing field and either team must take the bomb and score it by planting it on the opponent's side of the field.

David: Oh man, I was so close to scoring on the other team in the Grifball tournament!
Joe: I've seen you play. You suck so bad, I bet that the other team almost let you score to make your team feel better.
David:...no you.

gruffalo

A bear shaped bipedal character from children’s stories. A gruffalo's lower jaw extends beyond the upper jaw with two large upward pointing teeth. The gruffalo has a heart of gold but it's outward appearance is that of one that does not wish to be messed with.

The term gruffalo can be used as a semi-endearment to describe someone who is quite gruff (traditional meaning) i.e. with a temporary but short and snappy introductory temperament. A gruffalo likes to show that he is gruff (by moving things roughly and hunching the shoulders) but is capable of maintaining a reasonable (if a little gruff) conversation if you wish to. The gruffalo often appears in the morning and arrives late at the office so his gruffness is visible to other staff.

Grumball

The collective noun for a group of (usually middle aged, to more elderly)men complaining about boringly repetitive topics. These grumpy gatherings will traditionally congregate around the bar rooms of sporting clubs or a secluded corner of a social function. The introduction of fresh ideas, or participation in the discussion by a passing spouse will be instantly shunned by the collectively insular nature of the group.

"Bye dear, going down to meet the boys at the Grumball"
