Groyp

A more black pilled version of a Groyper. They exist on right-wing Twitter and notice things. In 2019 they were responsible for exposing hundreds of accounts popping up promoting consuming insect protein to save the environment. Each account was liking and sharing each other's post. It was traced back to a country in Israel trying to normalize insect protein consumption for profit. Hence the popular term "eat the bugs, live in the pod"

Groyper

Groypers are crypto-fascists (fascists pretending to not be fascists), usually originating from /pol/, who call in to talk shows with initially innocent-sounding questions and then try to get the host to respond to increasingly aggressive neo-Nazi talking points. The goal is not to win debates, but to bewilder the host and spread neo-Nazi ideas to their audience.

They frequently engage in trolling campaigns to try and shape public opinion in ways favorable to the far right. That includes barraging normies with conflicting information, similar to the many fake definitions for "groyper" on this site.

It is unknown what groypers look like in real life, since they are highly averse to engaging with reality in any way, but some theorists predict their physiology is similar to that of Vogons.
