A Gaubi is very kind and generous, he always has his friends’ backs and is super grounded and humble. Although Guabi's can be dumb at times, they never have bad intentions and will always be there for you. A Gaubi is funny, crazy and mean (at times), but he is also a genuine guy and one of a kind. A ladies man - he has all the juniors falling for him. A heartthrob and heart breaker both, he is blessed with beautiful brows, a sexy body and bonus points if he is a Punjabi. A Gaubi is one of the best friends one can have and anyone with a Gaubi in their life is lucky.

In chess when you lose your Queen because you just arent paying attention, or are distracted by too many other things. Popular on chess streams on Twitch. Used also in an attempt to save face because the blunder you just let happen was just silly

Man, I was trying to eat a bahn mi, read chat, and play blitz and I ended up playing the Botez Gambit and losing my Queen and the game.

Gambiarra

A brazilian expression. It basically means to use improvised methods / solutions to solve a problem, with any avaiable material.

English equivalents would include "McGyverism", "Kludge","Quick Fix", "Alternative Engineering", "Workaround", and so on.

Comcast Gambit 

The untimely and prolonged malfunction of an internet connection resulting in great inconvenience, such as the forfeiture of an online chess match/tournament. Dubbed by the chess master and Youtube personality Jerry (ChessNetwork).

This phrase is a merging of two terms: the terrible internet provider (Comcast) with the chess term (gambit), a tactical and deliberate sacrifice of a chess piece. However, the Comcast Gambit is unique from all others in that it fails to be either voluntary or tactical.

1. Marcellus, with the black pieces, found himself in a superior position with a time advantage in a blitz chess match. To his opponent's relief, the Comcast Gambit was then played, resulting in an immediate win for white.

2. After completing his essay final by 11:55 pm, Leland proceeded to submit it online before the 11:59 pm deadline. However, his shoddy internet service was down -- a textbook Comcast Gambit.

Destiny 2 Gambit

D2 gambit is a combination of PVE and PVP gamemodes in D2, in which players kill ads to bank motes. Certain increments of motes summon blockers on the other side, which prevent the opposing team from baking motes. A total of 100 banked motes summons the Primeval. The first team to kill their Primeval wins the game. Other players can invade, which they can kill the opposing team's players to prevent them from banking motes or to give health back to the Primeval during that stage
