Chifletas 

Humorous pseudo-Spanish for flip-flops. It is referring to the even more silly sounding real Spanish word 'Chancletas' meaning the same.

Often used by gringos (like me) and an accompanying bad Spanish accent really helps the delivery, often sounding like 'chiflayders'.

"Put you chifletas on before you go to the beach"
"My those are lovely chifletas"
"Baby they are not 'Chifletas' they are 'Chancletas' you crazy one"

A common name in the country of zambia and means the wise one. Any body would be happy to have this name and it is very unique.
