BendGate is a trending topic on several social media websites. A number of people who bought the iPhone 6 Plus had their phones bend in their pockets. The "gate" suffix is a reference to Watergate and the habit of putting "gate" at the end of public scandals.

Usually something that isn't a particularly a big deal, esp. when it primarily affects someone else - sort of a mild schadenfreude. Sometimes doubled or tripled, and possibly said in a sing-songy voice for added comedic effect to imitate a muted trumpet, which is how the meme originated.
