Badtrap

Badtrap (otherwise known as static or statictrap) is a trap sub-genre coined by producer and artist lysrgic. This genre takes influence from a wide range of genres, including: sstepteam, harsh noise, industrial, and numerous EDM genres.

The sound is defined by heavy distortion, offbeat and incredibly pitch shifted drums, off key sound effects and 808s, overlapping bass, breaks and hardstyle kicks, and industrial textures and soundscapes. Songs of the genre don’t have to fit all these criteria though.
