Bastige
A screaming, gasoline-drenched, blood-sucking, bat-winged cabbage that screeches and swoops down out of trees at night and either,
1) Rips off your head and drains your body of all fluid via the newly created wound, or
2) Misses the intended target horribly (usually you) and plows into the ground, pops like a grape, and spews flaming ooze everywhere. Neither have very high survival ratings.

Fumbled form of "bastards" first used in the 1984 film "Johnny Dangerously" by the character Roman Moroni, who had a mishandle of English obscenities.
"You fargin sneaky bastages. I'm gonna take your dwork. I'm gonna nail it to the wall. I'm gonna crush your boils in a meat grinder. I'm gonna cut off your arms. I'm gonna shove 'em up your icehole. Dirty son-a-ma-batches!"

bàstien
Bàstien is the name of a guy who, although incredibly rare, is worth meeting. A social butterfly and incredibly childish, he is both immature and mature. He is very generous towards others, especially those close to him, and will always try to make others happy.
When Bàstien loves you, he loves you from the bottom of his heart. Bàstien will love and care for you in the most genuine and sincere way, and anything he says will melt your heart.
He is generally fit, although he may think otherwise. Bàstien can be self-conscious about his body, even though he's absolutely perfect. He blushes very easily, and is incredibly sensitive, both physically and emotionally.
Because he aims to make others happy, he'll do whatever he can to please you when you mean a lot to him. He is very affectionate to the people he loves. He always tries to make time for who he cares about most, regardless of how busy his schedule is. Even when he doesn't like someone, he'll try to be nice to them anyways because he doesn't like to hurt people (unless they really hurt him). He is easy to get along with, and is always there if you need someone to talk to.
He is endlessly fascinating, incredibly unique, and meeting him is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that you should never pass up.

Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.

When you have to pee in a movie but don’t want to miss anything, and must do the following mental equation: will the amount I have to pee cause enough discomfort to diminish my attention capacity for the remainder of the movie to an extent which is greater than the amount of the movie I would miss by making a mad dash to the restroom.
