A person who claims to have graduated from a school or series of schools, but in fact, has fallen a bit short. In some cases, the student may have been a few credits shy of graduating, because if they took those classes then the man wins. alumnot.
If didn't skip that English 300 class at (insert generic art school) I would have been an alumni, but instead, I am an alumnot: By choice, though.

A lot of 30 something community college students suffer from acute alumnophobia due to a lack of opportunities and the prestige of being a 'student' despite being broke.

alumnoid (noun): resembling or having the form of an alumnus
An alumnoid is someone who gives every outward indication of having attended or graduated from a particular college or university, but in fact has not. Identifying traits include: owning and wearing multiple articles of a single college’s logo gear; rooting for the college’s sports team with greater enthusiasm than do allumni…or players…or cheerleaders; steering casual and unrelated conversations to include the school, irrespective of topic. “I thought Chad went to Duke, because he’s always wearing a Duke sweatshirt and freaking about about their basketball team, but it turns out he’s just an alumnoid.”
