Yükseköğretim Kurumları Sınavı / Higher Education Institutions Examination is the college entrance exam of Türkiye. it was introduced in 2018. the exam is made by ÖSYM (Ölçme, Seçme ve Yerkeştirme Merkezi / Measurement, Selection and Placement Center) and is done over one weekend. it consists of 2 mandatory and 1 optional part. TYT (Temel Yeterlilik Testi / Basic Proficiency
Test) is held in saturday. it is mandatory and consists of 9th and 10th grade topics. it has 4 lessons (Turkish, social studies, maths, science). consists of 120 questions and lasts 165 minutes. AYT (Alan Yeterlilik Testi / Field Proficiency
Test) is held in
sunday and is mandatory for 4 year degrees. it consists of 11th and 12th grade topics. the whole exam has 160 questions but you only have to solve 80 based off your part you choose. (TM consists of Turkish, social studies and maths while MF consists of only maths and science.) YDT (Yabancı Dil Testi / Foreign Language
Test) is held in sunday and is optional. it has many types
like English, German,
French, Arabic and Russian. the
test can be retaken without any limits. it is still paid though.
