Weigh-in 

A term used normally for league fighting where fighters are weighed and get to beef or 'square up' to each other. Also used on the street in the same instance where a close to fighting dispute happened usually with the people arguing pushing and screaming in each others faces.

Friend1: Did you hear about that dave kid beefing tom?

Friend2: Yeahhh! i did mateee. Tom weighed him in but dave bottled it didnt he!? The patty.
Friend1: Don't blame him tbf Tom will Weigh-in any man.

To place your weight into a situation where it wasnt previously.

Also applies to the act, of physically weighing an item.

"Did you hear about Trish talking to James about what he did Monday?"

"Yeah. Last thing needed was her weighing in tbh"

Alternatively:

"Come on son! Lets weigh in this fish we just spent the day hunting in the name of father son bonding. Looks pretty heavy!"

An official event held by the mayor's office of a city to measure the weight of the mayor in the presence of the press gallery while sometimes metaphorically 'weighing-in' on current city issues. The practice originated in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Something or someone that is of high value.

For instance if someone is worth their weight in gold to you, then in a literal sense (assuming that person is 150 lbs.) their value would be 2,847,000 USD. (Because gold is worth about 1,300 USD per Troy ounce)
