Original Russian Spelling: враньё

Pronunciation: vrɐˈnʲjɵ
Definition:
The lies that you know are lies that you tell to a person who knows you are lying, but both of you choose to see them as truth, even though both you and your audience know you're lying.

Oftimes you do it to yourself as a form of procrastination without a deadline, other times you do it in the workplace in order to tell a story that you and your boss knows is a fairy tale that the higher-ups want to hear,
Primarily, it is seen almost everywhere in 2 almost completely opposite settings:
1. Stock Markets, in which bubbles are constantly formed out of assets that everyone knows are worthless but only have value from the lies other investors tell to themselves.
2. Communist Dictatorships, in which everyone knows everyone else lies about their true beliefs and the current situation that they were in.
Their similarities centered on the mindset of constant growth and progress, an impossibility that only worked in a world where everyone lies to each other about the truth in order to keep their temporary good, no matter the aftermath.
Game Design Manager:
"The studio boss needs to hear that you made 10 more hours for the Game's pre-order soundtrack, Investors meet in 2 days and he wants something good to tell them."
Soundtrack Designer:
"That's impossible, how am I going to tell him that?"
Game Design Manager:
"Simple, redo the old audio, cut-n-loop, chop-n-paste. Cut corners. That's what I've been doing for as long as I've had this job, and it's paid off. Do what he says, and you can tell him what we all want to hear."
Soundtrack Designer:
"But what's the cost of lies? Who pays for that?"
Game Design Manager:
"Simple: Not us. The players preordered it, they get what they paid for, and we get paid."
Soundtrack Designer:
"Who pays the bill when those lies fall apart? From what this sounds like, the entire series is a goddamn house of cards moments before collapse, a bubble about to pop."
Game Design Manager:
"The house stays still and the bubble keeps floating, as long as we all keep telling the story that must be told. That's Vranyo."

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
