Villanova University terminology. The on-campus emergency medical service is called Villanova EMS or VEMS; hence, when you are VEMed, it isn't a good thing (the ambulance gets you).
Usually, one is VEMed when they get alcohol poisoning. If you do get VEMed, you're pretty much fucked, as the school heavily punishes anyone caught drinking.
