The variation of Ups was made to distinguish Urban Hook-Upz from other companies on the internet. Later a free computer graffiti font was created with the name Urban Hook-Upz. At one point, this graffiti font became one of the most download computer fonts on the internet. This spread the slang of using a letter "Z" instead of a "S" when using the word, UP. You can now find this variation being used more and more in American and Hip-Hop culture.
