Trotskied

Verb.

To trotsky an image is to remove a person from an image through physical or digital manipulation, similar to how Stalin removed Leon Trotsky from several famous images of himself with other powerful Soviet leaders.

The word can also be used to refer to manipulation of other media such as photos, videos, and music to wipe out imperfections, typically in the name of painting a more flattering picture, or to deceive the viewer.
Ex. 1

Joe: “Did you see how Jay removed Danny from his wedding pictures with photoshop?”

Eric: “Yeah, he totally trotskied him. Makes sense after he slept with his mom, though.”

Ex. 2

“There used to be homeless people sitting on that bench in the original image. However, the city digitally removed them in order to pretend they don’t have an affordable housing issue.”

Trotskied

To be erased from the history of an organization, even if you did something super inportant.
Named after Leon Trotsky who was erased from the USSR even though it was one of its most important early members because he was Statlins Political Rival.
After he got fired, Our boss Trotskied Dave.

trotskyist

Refers to a believer of Trotskyism, one of many offshoots of Marxism, established against Stalinism. Named for the intellectual Leon Trotsky, who advocated for - among many things - internationalism, soviet democratization, and decentralized economic planning. Trotskyists thus opposed containing socialism to one country, the massive bureaucracy of the Soviet Union at the time, and the anti-democratic current of the period.
Depending on who you ask, Trotskyists are either enemies of the working class or fundamentally no different from Stalinists. Looked down on by Tankies and capitalists alike.
Trotskyists claim to be to the left of Stalin and closer to "true" communism.
