v: the act of text messaging someone in order to tease them in a playful way. Related to sexting though not exclusively sexual.

textteaser

A textteaser is a person who loves to send texts. So much so that they make you believe they are your best friend. They will text you at all costs but never want to actually see you. They get gratification from the attention texting gives them but have little to no interest in being friends with the person they are texting.

Shawn is such a textteaser, we text everyday after work but he is always making excuses to hang out with me.
