A high maintenance person at the Burning Man Festival who is unprepared for the harsh camping environment and becomes a burden to their camp-mates.

Burner #1: "Can you believe that Sparkle Pony over there brought 60 costumes but only 2 gallons of water and some ramen noodles?"

Burner#2: "Yeah. They asked me where the food court was located."

Sparkle Pony 

Modern-day bimbos who dress cute and wear glitter to attract attention. Within Burning Man culture, they play "vulnerable" and "submissive" and spread "love and light" to gain "gifts" and popularity points. They use their "sparkle" to avoid hard-labor. Causing problems is detrimental to their survival, so they avoid social tensions and trot away at the first signs of trouble. They get what they need from those around them so they don't like to rock the boat. They are not socially or politically oriented. They are followers not leaders.

How can you not love Lolly?? She's the perfect Sparkle Pony. She smiles and shines. She loves to hoop and spread love to everyone!

Sparkle pony 

A high maintenance person who is unprepared for a harsh work environment and becomes a burden to their teammates. You may keep them around because they make you feel good about yourself, but they are the target of verbal abuse and the butt of jokes.

Worker 1: "Why is Ken still around?"

Worker 2: "Eh. He's a pain but he's easy to make fun of. It's always nice to have a 'sparkle pony' on the team."

A guy or girl you use for fun, but are not serious about. You keep them around because they make you feel good about yourself. It could be for one night, or for brief periods of time. Kind of like a "pool boy".

She is sad from the breakup, we need to find her a sparkle pony to cheer her up.

Sparkle Pony 

A person of mythical origin who is prone to prance and gallop the night away with whiskey bottles hanging at the hips.

They are rare and hard to find, so if you find one it will be magic.
