Skil means being responsible, and not a dick. It also means to have common sense. It is of nordic descent, and has been used for centuries. It is pronounced (sheel) and can be used in a variety of ways such as:

Jacob: You lost your skil, i should shake some into you
Olaf: No i have perfect skil, back off
Jacob: *shakes skil into olaf*
Olaf: I feel much better now
