An object or item which is more desireable because it is newer, cleaner, purer.

Something fresh, uncorrupted, unspoiled, unused, untouched.

Something of higher value and quality, in good condition, and/or which has been taken good care of.

Give me that one. This one's not very sanctuous.

Sanctuous

Having a peaceful, comforting atmosphere that makes a place feel safe, private, and removed from the outside world—like a personal sanctuary.

With its warm lighting, soft furniture, and total silence, the room was incredibly sanctuous.

Sanctions

Empty and baseless, sanctions are punitive threats thrown about like playing cards from the U.N. at nations that commit grave offenses, such as North Korea and Iran.

Compared to a slap on the wrist, but less effective, sanctions are nothing more than United Nations PR "showing" the world that they are hard at work keeping baddies in line.

Not quite as powerful as the wag of the finger, sanctions have absolutely no effect on the country they are imposed upon.

North Korea, and Iran have multiple sanctions against them from the U.N. for crimes committed (ex. secret underground uranium enrichment plants)

However, these countries go about their day to day plotting because sanctions are USELESS.

Also spelled Spirytus, or the Holly Ghost - the rectified spirit, usually 190 US proof (95.6% alcohol by volume). The ultimate, most powerful stuff you can get at some liquor stores, when you're ready to meet the gods. Often found on parties where Eastern Europeans (especially Polish) are present.
