Resolutioner

proper noun; muscle & fitness terminology; a new or rarely seen gym member who's sudden appearance has undoubtedly been brought about by a personal resolution to "get in shape."

The Resolutioner is viewed as somewhat of a nuisance by regular gym patrons because their commitment to fitness is often only temporary (usually fading within 2-8 weeks of initial sighting). In the mean time, the Resolutioner succeeds only in crowding up the gym's limited floor space, sweating up the machines, and generally interfering with the workouts of more hardcore gym members.

A Resolutioner may appear at any time, however, they are seen in increasing numbers during the months of December and January thanks to the ever popular tradition of declaring personal resolutions around the start of a new year (see New Year's Resolution).

Resolutioners can most easily be identified by looking for the following: 1) brand new, color coordinated workout apparel 2) sweat bands and/or leather gloves 3) stylish off-the-shelf water bottle 4) bad form and lack of confidence around the machines.

Resolutioners often include: the fat person trying to do crunches 2) the skinny guy struggling to bench almost no weight at all and 3) the chick in front of the mirror waving around those adorable little pink dumbells.
Regular Patron 1: "Hey dude, what are you still doing here? You're usually long gone by now."

Regular Patron 2:"Yeah, I know. I had to wait for some Resolutioner to quit playing around with the Pec Deck."

Coffee House revolutionary

This is similar to an armchair quarterback, all talk and no action.
Tyler was a typical coffee house revolutionary, all radical talk with no chance of action!

Radical Revolutionary

For examples see Minneapolis hip~hop folks. My hero P.O.S or me Present. It's not hard to see why or how! Methods will change to meet the needs of the moment. Subject to change. People who are this type of life force in the culture tend to Enable the process of implementing the dreams & visions for that culture to begin to manifest. Meaning Makers (underground Seattle rappers are some examples) the folks who take the later part of the job, truth tellers are the previous to this group they allow for disruption of the norm by allowing for critical thinking. In St. Paul MN Maria Isa could be an example of Radical Revolutionary too. This group RR are more than artists or activists they work together in a hip~hop culture to change the world. They have a role & the whole rotation is not complete with out the Three working together. Although randomly it all can work too. This is a theory on transforming society & a radical revolutionary role with in. One Love!
"That Radical Revolutionary motivated the people to believe in themselves & refresh reality for the underground hip~hop community! "

New Year's Resolution Warrior

Those people who make a new year's resolution to get in shape. they can be seen sporting new workout gear as they recently purchased a long term gym membership, of which will only get used for about 3 weeks before they quit. they are known for doing exercises incorrectly, being ass clowns, getting in your way and spend a lot of time socializing. they are typically very out of shape and are defined as physically unimpressive.
I would like to welcome the new year's resolution warriors to the gym. I appreciate you taking my normal parking spot, locker, and shower. You do look great in your new workout gloves and book to write down your three sets of bicep curls. The highlight was the 40 something couple making out between sets of incline dumbbell press. Hope you enjoy three weeks before you quit.

Coffee Shop Revolutionary

An individual (coffee shop revolutionary) or group of individuals (revolutionaries) who speculate on the utopia that "could be" following radical societal, governmental, and cultural change without actually taking action to do initiate it.

These coffee shop revolutionaries are comparable to "Armchair Generals" and "Armchair Politician's".

The prefixes of "Coffee Shop-" or "Armchair-" imply that the individual or individuals who desire reform or change lack the interest in making the sacrifices to take part in it. They are also the people who have the luxury of playing the all-knowing spectator to an event or social situation. An armchair general, for example, is a civilian one who believes he has all the solutions to a war which he formulated while sitting in his recliner in front of the television or while reading a newspaper.
Person 1: Our government needs to implement welfare reform, give greater tax breaks to middle and lower class, and improve international relations.

Person 2: Definitely! Someone should do something!

Person 1: I know. Our government sucks. Too bad I'm a Coffee Shop Revolutionary and won't do anything about it.

Person 2: Me too. I'm going to get another chai tea, want one?

resolutionary

resolutionary, adjective, (res-o-lu-tion-ary)

1. involving resolutions

resolutionary, noun, (res-o-lu-tion-nary)

1. a book or journal that list resolves or resolutions, that help purpose driven people evolve their character,

circumstance, and destiny.

2. a place to write down, consult with, and contemplate one’s resolves and the insights gained from direct and indirect

observation and experience.

3. personal journal of one’s resolves used in a proactive way to create, make, and mold one’s character.

4. a tool used by purpose driven, committed persons to evolve their person, reach their potential, and fulfil their self-

defined destiny.
Examples:

A good resolutionary helps to proactively guide one's thoughts, actions, and behaviors, enabling one to create the destiny they deserve.

I consult with my resolutionary daily because I know the consistent repetition of my resolves will gradually create new neuro-networks in my brain and improve every aspect of my life.

The resolves in my resolutionary eventually penetrate my subconscious mind, alter my attitude, disposition, behavior, circumstance and ultimately my destiny.

My friend's resolutionary helped them go from a fatherless poor kid eating out of garbage cans, to become a Vice President of a company.

Haters, faultfinders and naysayers would be well served by writing their own resolutionary, instead of casting shade on those who earnestly try to better themselves through the creation of new year’s resolutions.
