“Realtime” is the new “Literally”. Not used in the sense of actual fact but usually to emphasize something that is figurative.

There was a certain force and je ne sais quoi to Sam's post, he must have been realtime shitposting.

Realtime Shock 

A term used to define the when there is no suspense built up to a scare in a movie or television show. Usually the shock comes out of nowhere or when the suspense has built up and faded.
Used in conjunction with the word value. As in "Realtime Shock Value"

"The realtime shock value in that film was amazing!"

real time chump 

A derogatory name for a person watching an episodic series during the actual time during which each episode is released to the public.

Matthew and Angelica are real time chumps; I much prefer watching a show after it's conclusion to being left hanging and glued to the TV every week like they are.

I was the biggest real time chump when the series Lost was being aired for the first time on ABC in the '00s.

when added to a sentence or exchange of information, the stamp of "in real time"gives the context that the data just exchanged is the most recent, i.e., relevant. see irt (i.r.t.)

it's 7:52 a.m. in real time but by the time you read this it could be evening.

YOU: aren't you getting my texts?
ME: no sorry- my phone number is 555-2334 in real time. text me there.
YOU: why?
ME: bc i never paid my bill so i'm using a text-to-talk app.

Non-Real Time 

time from 1:01am-8:59am; time you assume people are sleeping, while you perform a task.

Kevin - Man, I waited until the last day to start my research paper. It is due tomorrow.

Gus - Don't worry about it, you still have a bunch of non-real time left.
