Poet's Row

A series of apartment buildings on Sherman street named after poets in Denver's Capitol Hill neighborhood. (The Thomas Carlyle, the Louisa May-Alcott, the Emily Dickinson, the Mark Twain, etc...) Most buildings were built in the 1920's and have art-deco architecture and no parking. Which is fine, because they are mostly occupied by hipsters who ride bikes.
I wanted to live downtown, but LoDo is too douchy and I can only afford like $500 a month in rent, so I moved to Poet's Row.

Dead Poet's Society

A movie/book about a group of rich and extremely smart boys who have been taught all their lives that free-thinking is bad and that you should just conform and be like everyone elce. Until one day a man named John Keating comes in and teaches them English in a way that only allows free-thinking. He teaches the boy about perspective and how to find there voice and express there opinions. But sadly not all the boy in his class are able to do so. (See Neil Perry.)
The movie Dead Poet's Society is a great movie to learn about being yourself.

dread poet's voice

A rhythmic style of reading poetry, akin to beging on a boat in choppy seas. The reader's voice goes up and down, up and down, and the words of the peom are lost in the waves of pulsating intonation.
I should have taken Dramamine to offset her dread poet's voice.

The act of recycling or "stealing" an idea, word, or technique from literature, history, everyday life or even your own past work, and reinventing it by adding a distinct flair of your own.

He stole someone else's savage roast from two days ago, used it on a different guy, and acted like a genius. Peak poet steal behavior.

She heard one moody indie song and instantly adopted the singer's tragic stare out bus windows. Total poet steal personality.

Friend 2: "what poet said that?"
Friend 1: "common dude, it's a saying"
Both of them then burst out in joyful laughter

endwarfins

The rush of neurotransmitters and neuropeptides triggered specifically by watching the Seven Dwarfs march home singing "Heigh-Ho" — that particular high of pickaxes, whistling while you work, and communal domestic bliss in a cottage built for men half your height.
I only meant to watch the Heigh-Ho scene for the endwarfins, and then it was two hours later and I'd watched the whole movie.

Endwarfins aren't just a Snow White thing — I get the same hit off the Lollipop Guild in Oz.
