I was cheering for the Oilers, but the Flames made it to the Finals, so I like them better.

the former home of gretzky and a very good franchise; they won 5 (i believe) cups during the '80s with gretzky and messier; have been good recently, but missed the playoffs this year

The best comeback team of 2006 to make it to the stanley cup. Also had the most entertaining games I had ever seen.

2006 SEASON - EDMONTON OILERS

-Being the last team in the western conference to make it to the playoffs.
-Eliminating the #1 ranked team in all of the nhl in the first round.
-Losing in a series 3-0 and then coming back to defeat the same team 4-3 to advance to the stanley cup finals. Then finishing the second round of the playoffs in victory over San Jose in the last min. of the third overtime.
-Winning the series against anaheim 4-0. Not to mention they were facing the #1 ranked goalie besides their really good goalie, Roloson.

The best team in the NHL. Much better than their southern counterparts, the Calgary Flames. Loses players such as Pronger because said player can't control his hormones. Won 5 Stanley Cups and had a very successful 05/06 playoff run.
