Nonchat is an adjective describing a person or strategy characterized by complete digital and social reclusiveness, where an individual intentionally maintains a ghost-like public presence by avoiding everyday social media interaction and communication. Unlike nonchalant, which describes a casual or indifferent attitude while actively present, nonchat specifically denotes a calculated, absolute absence where someone goes entirely radio-silent for extended periods, emerging only briefly to deliver a significant project or impact before immediately vanishing back into anonymity.

He went completely nonchat after his last tour, wiping his social media accounts and vanishing from the public eye for over a year before suddenly dropping a surprise album.
