The term describes a strategy of name-leveraging: invoking celebrity or influencer names to artificially inflate interest in something unrelated, essentially borrowing fame to manufacture relevance. Its debut traces back to a Love Island promotional stunt, where a publication hard-launched a new couple but attached the names of the hugely popular pair “Nicolandria.” Even though Nicolandria had no involvement, their reputation was used as bait to boost visibility.
Of course he mentioned Olandria and Nic — he was trying to Nicolandria Effect that interview so more people would watch it.
The brand dropped Beyoncé’s name even though she wasn’t involved — classic Nicolandria Effect marketing.
She hashtagged Taylor Swift just to Nicolandria Effect her post onto the trending page.

Surf Dracula Syndrome
A phenomenon in film/television series, most notably streaming series, where the main premise is drawn out to such a point that it takes an entire season or more to get the parts of the series the audience is actually interested in seeing.
For example, if a series is titled "Surf Dracula," a majority of viewers would tune in expecting to see Dracula surfing by the first or second episode. However, the entire first season would instead be tedious padding and backstory before finally ending with Dracula surfing in the last five minutes of the season finale.
