A slang term used to describe when someone is too rigid in thought, or unable to reframe things to understand or move forward. Too stuck on details or technicalities. Unable to think abstractly.
Like a stickler for the rules to the extent where it becomes harmful or limiting.

It is a conflation of the terms "nerd" and "brain dead".

It originated in an group of multiple Star Wars Expanded Universe oriented communities on Discord IRC, with members in Canada, Belgium, several of the United States, Cuba, France, Ireland, Australia, and more.

The superpower of being extremely skillful at a variety of technical crafts, such as gaming, coding, modding, using apps and helping luddites.

People with nerdedness usually watch sci-fi & Marvel movies, spend immeasurable amounts of time mastering games, upgrading and modding their computers.
They are commonly introverted, highly intelligent, and have an eye for detail.

To go over board about a particular subject. In doing so, causing the none nerd's eyes to glaze over....
Person 1: "Hey I played (X) videogame the other night. It was actually fun."

Nerd 1:"I absolutely love that game!" Then goes into extreme detail about said topic, while the other person just kinda stands there.... Then finally the nerd realizes what he has done saying "Sorry man, I kinda nerded out for a moment there..."

Often used jokingly as a over-exaggeration in political talk.

Can also be used in response to a ban or mute in a forum site or online chat.

We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
