win votes on the one

time preventing the loss of material benefits or avoiding criminal prosecution

anything2. The person in question presents themselves as a heroic breaker of traffic rules, but when confronted with criminal prosecution, they avoid responsibility and make excuses—only for it to turn out that no violation occurred at all.
