The word "Lintik" is a Filipino word that means lightning, expressing anger, if it's raining, or
your mom calling you a lintik.
Sometimes the word "Lintik" can be used to alert you're neighbors that it's about to
rain.
Like for example: "Lumilintik na!" meaning "It's raining!"
Example:
The mom: Lintik ka! Wala ka pang 100
sa grades mo! Malilintikan ka sakin nyan! (You
idiot! You didn't pass 100 in you're grades! You'll get a beating from me!)
The child: Sorry mom. I promise I will
study!
The mom: English english ka pa jan! Next time
mag basa ka at walang video games na yan ha?! (You're speaking english english like that! Next time, you read and there are no video games, all right ?!)
The child: Ok mom. I'll read. *Cries inside*.
Another Example:
Sally: Lumilintik na! HAYYYYY nako! (It's raining! HAYYYYY nako!)
Everyone: *Comes outside to pick up their laundry*
Another nother example:
Guy: Ay lintik! Nakalimutan ko
wallet ko! Haysss nako. (Oh my god! I forgot my wallet! Haysss oh dear!)
