"kanojo" is used in Japanese to refer to the female 3rd person (her, she), but as also taken on the meaning of girlfriend.

ore no kanojo wa omae no yori sekushii da yo.
my girlfriend is sexier than yours.
literally, "my 'her' is sexier than yours"
