With all their achievements they are extremely talented not only academically but in many other aspects of life too. Adj: To define one as being pleasant or appealing in the realm of aesthetics. Typically used to describe someone who frequents the gym on a regular basis and takes care of their appearance. To achieve this description, one should take pictures of themselves immediately after pumping iron and proceed to post said pictures on your favorite social media website. Any use of the term other than to describe a shredded male is incorrect and should be frowned upon.

Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
