Derived from the name of Christian apologist Kent Hovind. The first use of this adjective is from youtuber and anthropologist Gutsick 'Erika' Gibbon in one of her videos where she described an argument made by the one of the subjects of her video as "Hovindian". Typically used in the context of logical and philosophical discussions. Extremely stupid/circular/intellectually dishonest.
"That single cells can give birth to pine cones is just so hovindian in nature, nobody thinks that."
