Homotism is the expression of man’s exclusive focus on himself because of an erroneous belief that homo sapiens (mankind), the sole surviving species of the genus homo, is superior to all other species on earth and that this superiority gives mankind dominance and rights over all other life forms.

Homotism erroneously proposes that human characteristics, such as consciousness, altruism, intelligence, culture, creativity, morality, warfare, language, problem solving, monogamy, family, tool use, invention, innovation, flexibility, spirit, grieving and soul are behaviors reserved exclusively for mankind.

In sportcasting, having a bias toward your hometown team or toward the team for which you play/used to play.

The local newspapers practice homerism, predicting that the hometown teams will win and complaining about the refs when the local teams lose.

Being blindly devoted to your favorite sports team wether they are good or not.
Saying clearly untrue things about your favorite team (i.e. Jamarcus Russell was the best qb ever)
Should only be used in a derogatory way of describing an annoying fan (i.e. Lakers "fans")

person 1: I can't believe kobe didnt get that foul call, he got hammered there
Person 2: Dude, no one touched him, you can clearly see in the replay no one was within 3 feet of him

Prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against homosexuals. Homocist is the word to describe someone with that characteristic.
