Golddbrick

A hilarious YouTube channel created by three beautiful Minnesotans Ruth, Savannah and Emma. Known for their funny tags and challenges and being obsessed with Rob Lowe. Golddbrick is spelled with two 'd's because it is rumored that Emma, the shy golddbrick girl who rarely talks in their videos, is lesbian. Therefore, there are only two 'd's. One for Ruth and one for Savannah.
I was bored the other day so I watched a bunch of Golddbrick videos.

To loaf or goof around on the job. Supposedly an old union term describing laborers (or more specifically, bricklayers) who were going so slow, it was as if each brick were made of solid gold. One can alse be referred to as a "goldbricker".
Dude, I spent all day at work goldbricking - surfing the web, making long distance phone calls - basically just picking my ass.

goldbricking

Sitting around and looking good, but doing nothing.

Always applied to lazy people, but best addressed to those who pretend to be working in order to look industrious, and avoid punishment or harder jobs; also, for those who think they are attractive and therefore shouldn't have to work.
1. "That counter is clean, so don't pretend to wipe it -- you're just goldbricking so you can stand around and chit-chat."

2. "Don't stand there goldbricking; you're not too cute to wash your own damn dishes."

Also: "I just asked myself, 'Where would I go if I was goldbricking?' -- and there you were." -- Sgt. Mary Gumm, from Friday, by Robert A. Heinlein.

Purple Patch

To describe coming into something good, coming into good luck and or good times.

Like walking over small green hills in the countryside then coming across a purple patch of flowers, thus it being unique and out of the ordinary.
I hit a real purple patch.

The other day this good thing happened unexpectedly then I was lucky with this, it was unique, I hit a real purple patch.
