Glomp

v, to glomp
NOT sexual, it is the action of one person lovingly (and dramatically) attacking another with a hug.
A glomp is often preadatory and lies somewhere in the grey area between a caring embrace, and a flying leap to tackle someone.
The term is used extesively in anime culture, as well as online in text form (anime because many anime characters do this often, and online because it is short and descriptive).

A runs at B as if to bowl her over, but instead picks up B and spins her around while squeezing her tightly.

Glomp

A hug in the manner of a small child, similar to a bearhug but often including one or both legs as well as arms. Also a hug in which the hugger jumps and catches the victim by surprise or off-guard. Occasionally referred to as a cross between a running tackle and a bearhug.

A charges at B while B is unaware and body-slams them spread-eagle and latches onto them with all four limbs! B screams in surprise and gasps for air. Realizing it was not an attack, B hugs A back. :3

v. Glomp is a way of hugging someone hard sometimes nearly crushing them. The act of hugging violently/ pouncing on a unsuspecting victim. This turn is often used in anime and manga becuase most people don't actually attack people when giving hugs....most people. Look up Glomp.
