Harlem Globetrotters

A Very Famous group of absolutely fantastic basketball players who did amazing tricks with a basketball! They toured & crowds loved them! I think they're still in existence today.
My Dad took us to see the Harlem Globetrotters & when they introduced them 1 by 1, each guy took like a 3' step forward! They sure put on a Great Show!

No School Foster Glocester!

As a kid just over the line from RI, I would wait by the radio on snowy school mornings hanging on every word of school closings that Salty Brine would call out. While most times my school had to go to school, *GROAN!* there was most always a school that made the no school cut. I can still hear Salty's teaasing voice as he knew we all knew what was coming shouting out with glee: "No School Foster Glocester!!" Who were these lucky kids...geeeez!?!? lol
Salty Brines most called out snow day was for No School Foster Glocester!

Den glider in

Means "It glides in". Was originally the fight song of the Swedes during the World Cup hockey championships of 1995, held in Sweden. Also intended to be the official song of the championships.
Unsurprisingly, it became very popular in Finland after we won the World Cup for the first time ever. Our national hockey team, the Lions, actually recorded it. Even now, people sing it when they gather in bars to watch hockey games, no matter who the opponent may be. All the better if it's Sweden.
*a bunch of Finns in a bar*
Finn 1: Sweden sucks!
Finn 2: Look! Teemu Selänne scored!
All: DEN GLIDER IN, DEN GLIDER IN, DEN GLIDER IN I MÅL IGEN! *all take shots*
