n. (Australian) another word for a hat-stand, usually of a more extravagant variety.
Created because "hat-stand" was too boring and pragmatic; glenchley sounding far more sophistocated.

Feel free to hang up your stuff on the glenchley, old chap.

A term used usually in a loud and derpy voice, to communicate with someone across a large room (e.g. a classroom) or used as a suffix after a name (e.g. Michael Glesch)
