Noun. A temporary mindset shift from somewhat obsessing about multiple, seemingly important but annoying issues to the state of not caring at all. After dealing with the same persistent situation over a period of time, the conscious or unconscious decision to not be bothered anymore. Giving up.

After waiting on hold for 40 minutes for a representative while making dinner and trying to get his son to clean his room, John developed a case of the fuck-its, hung up, cracked a beer and sat down to watch some cat videos.

The fuck its also known as fuck its are a medical anomally that occur when your laziness gets the better of you. Usually happens when pressing matters are soon to arrive, such as projects due the next day or chores to be done around the house.
Symptoms include:
Coughing while saying fuck it.
Laziness.
Boredom.
Hunger.
The desire to go smoke weed or pack a lip.

Oh crap i have a project due tomorrow morning. Alright i have to do this.
