faux-ho

n. One who dresses the part of being "artsy" (or bohemian) so as to impress one's friends/classmates. One trademark of faux-ho fashion is buying pre-distressed or paint-splattered jeans at a higher price than normal jeans to show that they shop at thrift stores or are artists, respectively. Another is having a simplistic liberal ideology (i.e. Bush is a moron. Bush stole the election. etc.) that manifiests itself in the wearing of t-shirts with "edgy" slogans such as "Every vote counts, if you count every vote!" Many think Iran-Contra was a video game.

A super close female friend that walks the line of behaving like a girlfriend, without the any of the nookie. It's possible that there was a romantic connection in the past, yet not necessary.

When one of your closest friends is a member of the opposite sex (and you're a guy), they are your Faux-Ho.

faux horn

a hairstyle that occurs when a faux hawk goes wrong, and instead of imitating a mohawk, it ends up more reminiscent of a horn, giving the wearer the appearance of a unicorn.
unfortunately common among adolescent males, this is usually accidental, but can occasionally be created for humorous purposes.
