Fangled Up 

When new technology adds bells and whistles and manages to overcomplicate the usability of an application or experience.
This application is all fangled up! I can no longer find where the preferences are located.

To haggle or bargain something. Also used as a verb to illustrate a narrow escape out of a tight situation.

New Fangled 

An object, device, any product of mankind, which is deemed futuristic, unnecessary, and occasionally gay. Something is often called new fangled by a cranky old man who is spiteful of this new and awesome technology. Types of art can be considered new fangled as well, particularly music (commonly created by young people.
Brian: Hey Grandpa did you see that tricked out roll of tape Jimmy was rolling down the street!?

Grandpa Jones: Hell yes I did! That new fangled device surely cost his mama a pretty penny! In my day we used spit and semen to stick shit to shit!

finagled (v.) 

The act of achieving a ridiculously ridiculous goal by even more ridiculous means.

Someone can easily call shenanigans on anyone who is caught in the act of finagling.
Patrick finagled (v.) his way into convincing the Registrar's Office to let him design eight of his own "Denny's" majors.

trucker's tan 

A sunburn or suntan focused on the left arm. It is caused by the left side of the body being the only half that gets exposed to sunlight while driving. Presumably, it would be located on the right side of the body in countries where they drive on the left side of the road.
I had a trucker's tan after driving for 10 straight hours on a sunny day.

British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”

Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
According to the boffins downstairs, the murderer used a serrated blade.
