An annual, fully student run music festival held in St Andrews,
Scotland each April. ELAGA is a one-day
long event that usually runs the span of 8 hours from noon onwards. Founded in 2017, ELAGA is a new event which has caught the attention of some of the world's largest EDM acts and music firms. The 2018 inception will feature acts such as Codeko, Sigala, and a headliner, still to be named.
Its theme is for
time to pass carelessly, in that it harnesses the natural beauty of
Scotland, such as the surrounding greenery and architecture of an Italian garden, to create a hedonistic, Eden-
like paradise. Hedge mazes, garden games and bottles of champagne are all the
rage for guests, and isn't it very St Andrews for students to rage to internationally acclaimed music
talent while sipping on champagne flutes? For VIP guests, who apply through a premium ballot, they are offered much more - including their own tent, lounge area, and jacuzzis to soak in the atmosphere, rain or
shine. ELAGA combines the mediums of music, fashion, art, film, and lifestyle design to create a one-of-a-kind, luxe music festival escape found more often on the sunny shores of Ibiza, St Tropez or Zante, rather than in
Scotland - and that is the beauty of ELAGA.
The festival, however, despite its luxe nature, is designed for all and organisers affirm that they hope to attract a diverse group of attendees.
