dialer 

A computer program that causes your modem to dial a number to a computer server. This is meant to allow the caller to access/download files from the server.

Almost all dialers are for pornography. They may claim to be free, but always go to long-distance telephone numbers. These numbers are usually equivalent to 1-900 numbers in the U.S. (the numbers vary from county to country). The caller can end up paying a ridiculous amount of money in phone bills.

After using a dialer to download movies of Traci Lords, Jim Bob was shocked to find out his phone bill was $8,000.

Those engage in calling their entire cell phone phonebook once drunk. Conversations usually consist of gibberish and many slurred words.

Take away my cell phone once we start drinking. I'm such a drunk dialer I once called my grandma at 2 am.

A website specializing in prank calls. you just endter a phone number online, and it calls them with a joke or song if your choice.

Tone Dialer 

A Tone Dialer is a tool used by almost all phreakers that phreak the pay phone systems. This is a tool that will produce tones automatically for you to play back into the phone system. These dialed tones may then be recorded onto a cassete or mp3 player and then later used at the pay phone system to get a free call. There are many of these dialers that are now available as software and some are becoming available for the Palm OS.

Ass Dialer 

Someone who is a bumbler or a slacker. The term arose after an incident in which a number was inadvertantly dialed after the phone's owner had placed the phone in his back pocket.

Bob did nothing but wilf on his computer all day--he's such and ass dialer. (or) Jack tied his shoes together and then tried to walk home like the ass dialer that he is.

Re-dialer 

Someone who dials your number, waits for the machine and then hangs up and calls over and over again every . If you call someone more than 3 times in a row, it is considered Re-dialing.

Person 1: 1045 He's called me 6 times in the last minute. *Ignore*
1046 He's calling me again, it's going on 7. *Ignore*

Person 2: Man he's a real Re-dialer.
