google docalypse

When Google Docs is used to create a collaborative document (for revision notes for example), and word spreads about its existence resulting in a large amount of people following the link. This in turn results in an exponential decrease in productivity and eventually all work comes to a halt as many 'Anonymous Users' revel in the hilarity of trying to guess who is who.

Nick: Oh no, loads of people are joining the document!
Rob: The google docalypse has begun..

demopocalypse

An IT term for a demo of a computer program given to stakeholders or important clients before the program is actually done. The demo is sure to fail and certainly cost your project buy-in and/or it's reputation. A demopocalypse is most often brought on by asshat managers or sales people who didn't even bother to ask for the current state of the project before promising a demo.

Question: Are you still working on that new sales logic system for client x?

Answer: No. Our CIO promised a demopocalypse to the stakeholders and they pulled the plug on our funding. Mind proofing my resume?

The ultimate debockle; an inconceivable, unfathomable, ridiculous problem, can affect just one or many people, causing dire, and unforseeable consequences. A debockle so profoundly absurd and perplexing, no one can forge a single idea as to how to remedy the situation.

Debockalypse Ex. 1: Sudden worldwide economic collapse.

Ex. 2: 100,000 large asteroids discovered blazing toward earth at 11087397131171mph, 24 hours until we're all screwed, what to do.

Ex. 3: Small, lone noob in prison bathroom stall, 20 huge dudes lined up ready to run train, how to escape without colossal anal devastation.
