Cuddledome

Cuddledome (noun)

1. The wholesome, low-stakes opposite of a Thunderdome—a place where instead of chaos, combat, and dramatic showdowns, two or more participants enter… and leave wrapped in blankets, emotional support, and snacks.
2. Any situation where conflict was expected but instead everyone just chills out and gets along.
3. A safe, cozy zone where the only rule is: two enter, everyone gets a hug.

Usage in a sentence:
“After that brutal work meeting, I’m declaring my couch the official Cuddledome. Pajamas required.”

Opposite: Thunderdome

Vibe: 100% cozy, 0% gladiator.

1. “Bro, the group chat was getting heated about pizza toppings, so we moved it to the Cuddledome and ordered half-and-half.”
2. “I thought Thanksgiving dinner was gonna be a Thunderdome, but grandma deployed the pies and suddenly it was straight-up Cuddledome.”

cuddlecore

Originally used to jokingly describe the sound of Vancouver, BC punk band cub (sic) and coined by friend Nicolas Bragg. It was meant to be an antithesis to the crotch-rock/clit-rock/riot grrrl/foxcore bands of the early-mid 1990's such as L7, Hole, Bratmobile, The Muffs, et al. Incorrectly used to describe the sound and fashions of other bands.
