chinese exclamation of frustration, annoyance, anger, etc.
similar to d'oh, oh crap, ah shit, damn it, oops, etc.

if you spill a can of soda pop on your keyboard say "ai ya", instead of d'oh.

strum guard 

a strip of towel wrapped around the wrist of one's "strum"-minging hand, secured by gaffer tape, and is used to "guard" against abrasions when playing guitar. invented by joe strummer (born: john graham mellor) due to his furious playing style.

joe strummer never plays his telecaster without his strum guard.

the action of pumping one's leg forcefully to the beat of music, similar to tapping one's foot. term is coined by joe strummer.

joe strummer's electric leg was really pumping at last night's palladium gig.

cuddlecore 

Originally used to jokingly describe the sound of Vancouver, BC punk band cub (sic) and coined by friend Nicolas Bragg. It was meant to be an antithesis to the crotch-rock/clit-rock/riot grrrl/foxcore bands of the early-mid 1990's such as L7, Hole, Bratmobile, The Muffs, et al. Incorrectly used to describe the sound and fashions of other bands.

"Cuddlecor '94" as per the liner notes on their "Come Out, Come Out" album.
