Cortaca

An annual football game between Ithaca College and SUNY Cortland. The rivalry is very intense even though both teams are kind of terrible. Students from both schools claim that their institution always wins, but as of 2010 Ithaca has won 34 vs. Cortland's 18.

Cortland kid: Omg Cortland always wins Cortaca.
Ithaca kid: As a literate and well-informed human being, I would like to point out that IC has almost twice the number of wins of Cortland.

Cortaca

Cortaca is more than the football game where Cortland State kick's Ithaca's ass, but is the mindset all should have during the year at Cortland State. It cannot be defined- it must be lived.

Cortaca Jug

The annual football game between rivals Cortland State and Ithaca College in upstate New York. Sports Illustrated once called it "The biggest little game in the nation." Ithaca leads the series 31-15 all time. The game is marked by the biggest party weekend for both schools.

1. "I've got 15 people visiting me AND I'm wasted at 9 AM. It must be Cortaca Jug Weekend!"

2. "Did you see the definition someone from Cortland wrote for the Cortaca Jug? It was so bad I had to edit it for grammar and correctness. Stupid state schoolers!"

Cortland is known for kicking Ithaca's ass and currently has possession of the "Cortaca Jug." The biggest party weekend and school spirited weekend for both schools.

1. It's 9am and I'm wasted"

2. "I got 15 people visiting me"
"Must be CORTACA"

Cortland State dominates in every sport and therefore has possession of the Cortaca Jug.
