Definition - used as a exclamation! when two people have similar ideas, or, share convergent thought patterns.

Gestures - it is often accompanied by a hand gestures. where the persons two hands are clenched and brought together.

Pronunciation - the word collide is said with the emphasis on the -ide. which is typically drawn out. i.e. COL-I...DE! as to sound as though the word collide is spelt with several I's

Origin - within the scientific academic elite of the UK, the word collide developed an alternative meaning to the traditional use within the English language. the word COLLIDE! used at the end/or beginning of a sentence has been incorporated into popular scientific language throughout many universities and associated social circles.

person A: the elements in this rock suggest is is formed from melted mantle contaminated by the crust.
person B: COLLIDE! i was thinking the same thing

Worlds colliding

When two separate aspects or relationships in a persons life collide: your friends (one "world") become friends with your girlfriend (a separate "world").

Popularized by The Seinfeld episode "the pool guy", in which Georges Costanzas' girlfriend forms her own friendship with Georges' platonic friend Elaine (Causing Georges' worlds to collide).

Kramer: 'Jerry, don't you see? This world here, this is George's sanctuary. If Susan comes into contact with this world, his world's collide. You know what happens then?'

Worlds Collide Theory

A theory which states that a man must keep his personal life (i.e. friends) separate from his relationship side (i.e. girlfriend). Should the two worlds come into contact with each other (by means of his girlfriend becoming friends with his friends), both worlds blow up.

Large Hadron Collider

The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is a particle accelerator which will probe deeper into matter than ever before. Due to switch on in 2007, it will ultimately collide beams of protons at an energy of 14 TeV . Beams of lead nuclei will be also accelerated, smashing together with a collision energy of 1150 TeV.
A TeV is a unit of energy used in particle physics. 1 TeV is about the energy of motion of a flying mosquito. What makes the LHC so extraordinary is that it squeezes energy into a space about a million million times smaller than a mosquito.
Housed 100-kilometers below the earth, the LHC is currently being built by CERN.
