Cinemaraces is a popular card game from Bermuda in which players with fully or partially concealed cards make wagers into a central pot. The pot is awarded to the player or players with the best combination of cards or to the player who makes an uncalled bet. While the term Cinemaraces has fallen out of use with many of the locals and now has been replaced with the term poker, one can still find references to the cultural term all be it very rarely.
To take something small, that doesn't quite qualify as a theft. Probably from the Danish "skæv" or the Dutch "scheef", both of which are pronounced similarly, meaning "askew, or not quite right'. To change an item's ownership without permission, but only something small and of little worth.
