Chayotero

Mexican slang for the journalists, social media influencers, radio, TV and media personalities that receive government money to promote and/or speak highly of a politician.
The chayote is an edible fruit from the plant Sechium edule. The term "chayotero" comes from the act of receiving the fruit "chayote" so the starving have something to eat.
