chatastrophe

A chatastrophe is any typically sudden, disastrous event that occurs during online chat- whether in chat rooms or private messaging.

Room Two was noted as a peaceable room of cozy fellowship chat amongst civilized habitués. After Room One experienced the chatastrophe of a vengeful bot-loading booter, Room One chatters jumped ship and found their way over to Room Two like so many flotsam-borne rats. This sat uneasily upon the regulars of Two, as the Oners were a virtual rogues gallery of the more virulent personality disorders. In their turn, the Room Two chatters regarded the influx of Oners as a chatastrophe.

Some one who plays a Online game and excludes everything else. Often used to describe when some one has a lot of time to spend in a online game.
Came from a article in a newspaper on Everquest. The player they interviewed played so much Everquest he forgot to change his cats littler box, leading the reported to comment his house smelled like "a cats ass".

Not every one has enough time to catass foir items in Everquest.

That guy is such a catass, he has been at the same spawn for 9 hours straight.

PC Gamer says "Apparently, there's a word in the MMO community called 'catass' to describe someone whose online addiction has caused their domestic and personal hygiene to degenerate to such a degree that their entire house begins to smell like an enormous cat-litter box."

That guy just got City of Heroes and has now gone catass.
