Catapulating

The act of procrastinating by engaging in trivial or low-effort activities, typically as a response to feeling overwhelmed or powerless in the face of academic tasks or responsibilities. Often involves avoidance of studying or productive work through distraction, such as mindlessly scrolling through social media, watching videos, or doing other non-urgent tasks.
"Instead of reviewing for her finals, Jenna spent the whole afternoon catapulating by reorganizing her bookshelf."
