cancelling

To cancel someone (usually a celebrity or other well-known figure) means to stop giving support to that person. The act of canceling could entail boycotting an actor's movies or no longer reading or promoting a writer's works.
Did you hear that Celebrity X said this thing about women? Cancelling this misogynistic pig is the just thing to do!

Cancelling

Almost like Netflix ending a really good series on a cliff hanger at season one but instead of a televised series, canceling refers to this act being done a (maybe) not so perfect person’s public career

fart cancelling

Like noise cancelling, fart cancelling can be performed by cancelling a fart with another fart at the right time. Failing to do so can increase the power of the first fart.
"Yow, who let out this huge fart?"
"Don't worry. I have fart cancelling integrated in my body"

The Cancelling-Out Method

A sexual act, apparently originating from Gateshead in which a man who does not want his girlfriend to get pregnant but has engaged in unprotected sex with her lets his friend ejaculate inside his girlfriend, which "cancels out" the first man's sperm.
Chavette 1 "Hoy, did ya use a condom?"
Chavette 2 "Nah, ah used "The Cancelling-Out Method" "
Chavette 1 "Good call, ya divvn't want to get pregnant a fourth time"

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
